The Festival began yesterday, but will run until Sunday, giving visitors plenty of time to explore the best that Norfolk has to offer in terms of culture, history and architecture through over 220 different events!

England’s biggest heritage festival is made up of over 5,000 events put on all through England, celebrating the past, present and future of our wonderful country.

Some of these incredible events will be hosted all over Norfolk, offering everyone in the area something a little special, with hidden historical gems being uncovered specifically for the occasion!

“Heritage Open Days is a once-a-year chance to have a sneaky peak behind the doors of Norfolk’s hidden heritage gems.” Commented Cathy Eden at The Forum in Norwich.

“We’re very lucky to have so many local treasures on our doorstep and this weekend is all about celebrating that. It’s an opportunity to see new places, try out new experiences and enjoy activities that bring our local history and culture to life – and it’s all free!”

There are many events that are both ticketed and free to drop in, including historical walks, museum sessions, pop up exhibitions and even a pirate festival so take a trip and explore the wonders of Norfolk!

These events will be suitable for people of all ages, and will be a great day out whilst on staying at our Norfolk holiday parks!
