If you are staying at our Suffolk holiday chalets over the Bank Holiday weekend, why not visit the Suffolk Owl Sanctuary, see some impressive flying displays and catch a glimpse of three new fluffy owlet arrivals?

The Bank Holiday weekend is a perfect time for heading to the sanctuary, as the weekend promises chances to see the flying displays, and the Monday sees the return of Jenny’s Ark Petting Zoo – perfect for any youngsters.

The Petting Zoo will feature rabbits and guinea pigs as well as some weird reptiles to handle. The flying displays will also feature falcons, eagles, buzzards and kites. The warm weather is a perfect time to see flying displays with birds of prey as the warm air means they can fly higher.

There are also some new arrivals at the sanctuary to see. A four-week old European eagle owl has been bred at the site, and the sanctuary has also taken in an 11-week old ashy face barn owl and four-week old Siberian owl.

It won’t be long before these three birds will also be flying and soaring about in displays, and have brought the amount of birds at the sanctuary close to 100.

There are tonnes of other great activities happening across Suffolk over the Bank Holiday weekend, keep an eye out for anything happening!
