The festive season is fast approaching, meaning that towns and cities across the country will be hosting lively Christmas markets and fairs. These events are sure to get you feeling festive with their choice of great stalls, amazing seasonal food and drink as well as their unrivalled wintry atmosphere. They are also a great place to get started on the Christmas shopping, selling a range of local produce, unusual gifts and handmade crafts. Here’s three of the best festive fairs and markets you can visit this winter in Norfolk.

Great Yarmouth Christmas Fayre (25th-27th November)

A Christmas market and other festive events will all be coming to Great Yarmouth’s town centre over the weekend. Across the three days from 10am until 5pm visitors will be able to enjoy a variety of seasonal celebrations. Great Yarmouth Minster will be hosting a variety of unique and specialist craft and food stalls as well as choir performances, while in Market Place there is the chance to buy a range of local produce from local suppliers. A host of fun activities will also be happening here from live music performances to meeting Santa and his elves. For the first time, the Christmas Fayre will also be hosting the Christmas Fayre Pudding Competition.

Holt Hall Christmas Fair (26th-27th November)

Holt Hall, near our holiday lodges in North Norfolk, will this year be holding a special Christmas fair to celebrate the festive season. Within the spacious hall you’ll be amazed by the gorgeous decorations, topped off by a beautifully decorated Christmas tree. There will be a wide range of stalls selling all kinds of gifts, ranging from handmade clothing to cards, artwork and luxury bath products. Plenty of food and drink stalls will also be featuring at the fair selling everything you need for a festive occasion, from locally produced cheeses to meats, sweet treats and much more.

Deepdale Christmas Market (2nd-4th December)

Three days of Christmas celebration will be held at the Dalegate Market in Burnham Deepdale, from 12-7pm on the Friday and from 10am-4pm on the Saturday and Sunday. This large Christmas fair features more than a hundred stalls, selling an excellent choice of crafts, clothing, food and gifts. The market is also home to many shops and cafes, offering refreshments and even more shopping under one roof.
