Located on the peaceful shores of Oulton Broad, Broadlands Park & Marina has been a much-loved holiday destination since the 1970s, when it was first known as Broadland Chalet Park and Broadview Caravan Park.

Originally a modest holiday village, the park quickly gained popularity among families drawn to the natural beauty of The Broads, tranquil waters, and laid-back atmosphere.

Back then, speedboat races lit up Thursday nights, a small shop served the needs of guests, and holidaymakers came year after year to enjoy boat hire, marsh walks, and the peaceful charm of the area. That same spirit of relaxation and discovery still defines Broadlands and the Broads National Park today.

Tingdene Group Purchase of broadlands Park & Marina

In 2014, then known as Broadland Holiday Village, this popular holiday park entered an exciting new era when it was acquired by the Tingdene Group. With a strong heritage in leisure destinations, Tingdene brought a fresh vision to Broadlands - focused on expansion and improving facilities, while respecting the peaceful waterside location.

A year later, in 2015, planning began to expand the park, modernise infrastructure, and enhance the marina for a new generation of guests and holiday homeowners.

Expansions and Developments

Broadview Caravan Park

In 2017, Tingdene undertook a significant £800,000 development on a previously unused section of land to the west of the park. Once the site of colourful touring caravans, the area was transformed into a stunning new zone for static caravan holiday homes, with 32 plots now available, many offering unrivalled views over Oulton Broad.

This investment also included:

  • The completion of the Aedis chalet development, now totalling 32 modern plots

  • Transformation of the Carlton lodge area, with 11 exclusive lodge plots

  • Electrical infrastructure upgrades to support further growth

Broadlands Marina expansion

In 2021, expansion continued on the waters edge, with an enhancement of the marina by Tingdene Marinas & Boat Sales, which now includes 54 additional berths, adding many more happy berthholders to the popular marina community.

Moss & Co Broadlands Bar & Restaurant

In 2023, the Quayside Bar & Restaurant was given new life by Moss & Co, reopening as Moss & Co Broadlands. This welcoming venue now serves breakfast on weekends, alongside freshly prepared lunches, dinners, and private events—all with a stunning view of the water.

Today at Broadlands Park & Marina

Today, Broadlands Park & Marina is home to a diverse range of holiday homes that many continue to enjoy, offering something for every type of holidaymaker or second-home owner:
