We know it can be hard thinking of activities to keep the children occupied during the school holidays, and it doesn’t get any easier when you are away. Suffolk is full of fun and exciting days out for the kids, and they will be telling all their friends about their holiday if some of these activities we have found are on your itinerary. We have plenty of holiday chalets for sale in the area for you to create the perfect home away from home, as we know, it is all too easy to fall in love with Suffolk.
Crown Pool is an indoor pool that is a water haven for children! The pool is set in a beach theme with tropical planting. There is the favourite wave machine, slides and water fountains. As if that wasn’t enough, during the school holidays and weekends an enormous inflatable slide fills the pool!

There is a three-tiered soft play frame, with slides, foam rollers and much more. Included in your entry price, you also get entry to the Science Discovery Centre where the children can learn through play and discover the 30+ science exhibits. Jimmy’s Farm is a child’s dream – there is so much to do and see they will not want to leave! It is the perfect activity to get them outside in the fresh air and connecting with nature. The ancient woodland walk encourages them to explore and look for the creatures that live there. There are also some unexpected sites for them to see, as they follow the trail they will find statues of extinct animals which are dotted around the woods - making it even more exciting!
It wouldn’t be a farm without the animals, get a bag of feed and make friends with the ponies, donkeys, goats, geese, ducks, cows, rabbits, chickens, sheep and many more. You’re welcome to pet some of the gentle characters who are used to seeing lots of faces and even give them a feed at certain times of the day.
There is also a mini jungle which holds exotic plants, insects and beautiful butterflies. They are all freely flying around the tropical room and some may even find it comfortable on your shoulder. Make sure you bring your camera as the butterflies are a variety of sizes and full of unusual colours.
As if that wasn’t enough to do at Jimmy’s Farm, the children can be taught how to catch a fish in one of the ponds. They will learn about the fish, the equipment used and hopefully land a big one!
