Halloween weekend is nearly here, so it is time to find some spooky activities to keep the whole family busy. There are many events being held throughout Suffolk this weekend, but we have picked some of our favourites.
On Friday 28th October, why not start the weekend off by visiting Undley Pumpkin Patch and picking your very own pumpkin. Nothing screams Halloween more than getting to choose the perfect pumpkin and spending the evening carving it. As it is near our holiday lodges in Suffolk, it will be a perfect place to start your weekend.
There aren’t just pumpkins to pick, there are many other activities happening. Donkey rides, face painting, as well as trying to beat the maize maze which is over 6 acres!
Feel like scaring yourself silly on Saturday 29th October? Landguard Fort, near Felixstowe are holding an event called the “Little Fort of Horrors”. It is being held from 7pm – 11pm and will include a walk through a zombie fortress. This event has stated that no-one under the age of 13 should attend, so is bound to give you a fright!
To finish your weekend off, Archery Adventures in Halesworth are holding a Halloween event on Sunday 30th October. You can play archery tag against zombies, or play ghoulish archery. Fancy dress is also encouraged at this event, so put on your Halloween costumes and head down!
One last thing, if you are looking for a frightening thrill, go and visit “Scaresville”. It is a mysterious haunted village which appears in the historic grounds of Kentwell Hall every October. It is the perfect activity if you are in a large group but unfortunately children should be over 14 to attend this event, and any child under 18, must be accompanied by an adult. Your group will be entered through dimly lit buildings, woods, gardens and parkland, who knows what might be lurking in the shadows.
