With the days getting shorter and the nights getting longer, now is the time of year many of us begin to look forward to the festive season. The Christmas lights light up the dark nights, family and friends get together for some quality time, and the festive cheer surrounds us.

Throughout the year, the chances of having a get-together with your loved ones can be slim, but it is at Christmas that most people get some much-needed time off together, giving them the ability to enjoy a staycation as a group. Lincolnshire comes alive over the festive period, with various events and activities taking place all over the county, it is the perfect location for your Christmas holiday treat! Below is just a handful of the action-packed and fun events that will be happening in November and December.

THOR’s Tipi Bar

The pop-up Christmas attraction in the heart of Lincoln is a welcome break from the usual coffee shops and bars. How often can you say you’ve been to a tipi nestled next to the high-street shops? The experience will be novel from the minute you approach the structure, to the minute you leave. Expect cosy and inviting blankets, an open fire pit, delicate lighting and rustic wooden tables and benches. THOR’s tipi serves a selection of locally brewed ales and beers, festive mulled wines and warmed ciders as well as non-alcoholic beverages. Children are welcome too, and there is a hot chocolate station where the can choose their own custom topping for their drinks!
