Recent research from Expedia has found that when it comes to choosing a holiday destination, Brits rate food as being extremely important when it comes to deciding on their destination, beating outdoor activities, cultural experiences and places recommended by friends.

The poll found that a third of holidaymakers will return to the same destination just for the food, and that they wanted to explore the top food locations in the UK.

This means the typical British holidaymaker is looking to enjoy days out at cookery schools, foodie hiking trails and generally visiting top quality restaurants.

Nearly half of Brits book their holidays based on how good the food nearby is, often researching the local area before they book their trip. For example, if you were looking to visit one of our holiday parks in Norfolk, you could visit some of the best restaurants in the country as we previously reported on here.

Thanks to such a wealth of culinary delights, more people are staying at home and taking a staycation rather than going abroad for their main holiday.

It isn’t just the food that keeps them entertained either, with many people stating they love hiking, cycling and fishing to help them work up an appetite.

So if food is an important factor to you when it comes to booking a holiday, you need look no further than here in East Anglia. Why not pay a visit to one of our parks and come and try the delights for yourself?
