Festival season is coming up – and there are many great festivals in Suffolk to check out. But it is not just music festivals you should be attending as there has been a rise of food festivals, bringing you the best of street food, veganism, barbeque and more to try.

The Aldeburgh Food and Drink Festival, close to Tingdene Parks and your Suffolk holiday lodge, is now in its 11th year and is one of the best food festivals to attend in the UK.

The popularity of Aldeburgh’s festival is due to the combination of quality produce stalls, appearances from top chefs as well as workshops where you can try your hand at making your own food in a variety of different styles as well as wild-food foraging.

A little different to other food festivals, Aldeburgh is a perfect celebration of cooking, giving the opportunity for visitors to try their hand at new ways of cooking and new foods to cook. It is more about the art than meeting a celebrity chef.

Street food festivals have also been popping up for a few weeks at a time in cities, towns and villages across the UK more and more in the last years. It is a great chance to sample food and drink you have never tried before, at a fairly low cost.

Aldeburgh Food and Drink Festival is held at Snape Maltings on the banks of the River Alde on September 24 to October 9.
