Everybody loves ice cream, right? And in Norfolk, we have some wonderful places where you can pick up an ice cream of various flavours and textures. Below, we have looked at five of the best places across the region, to help tantalise your taste buds this summer!

1. The Picnic Hut, Wells-next-the-Sea

Just a short distance from our holiday park in North Norfolk is The Picnic Hut, which is well known for its crab sandwich. However, it also sells a wide variety of ice cream made by local companies, including the Lakenham Creamery. Flavours include tiramisu and wild strawberry, with many reviewers on TripAdvisor singing the praises of these frozen delights.

2. No1 Cromer and Ice Cromer, Cromer

Another ice cream parlour who benefits from the expertise of the Lakenham Creamery, who supply them with the fresh ingredients for them to make all their ice cream from scratch onsite. There are currently 15 different flavours, including rum and raisin and bubble-gum. If you are looking for a bit more, they also sell coffees and doughnuts, including a hot doughnut sundae which should not be missed.

3. The Pavillion, Hunstanton

Home to the Hunstanton Ice Cream Company, they are a small family business who produce a wide range of homemade ice cream, sundaes and sorbets, including Jaffa Cake, White Chocolate and Red Bull flavours!

If you aren’t tempted enough by the ice cream, you can also get your hands on genuine Belgian waffles imported from Liège, which you can then top with the ice cream of your choice.

4. Ellie’s Ice Cream, Sheringham

Ellie’s Ice Cream parlour serves only Ronaldo’s luxury ice cream (made in Norwich) but with a massive 85 different flavours to pick from, you’ll be spoilt for choice! The most popular flavours are raspberry and gooseberry as they make use of fresh, local fruit, but unusual flavours such as Norfolk lavender are also quite the hit. All the ice cream is suitable for vegetarians, and they even have a range of vegan sorbets for sale so there is certain to be something for everyone.
