Whether you are just considering buying a holiday home, or you are actively looking to purchase your own property, the prospect of having a home away from home is an exciting one! We have taken a look at a few things you may wish to consider when looking to purchase a property at one of our lifestyle parks.
Setting yourself a budget should be your first port of call. Are you going to be using your pension or savings to purchase the property, or will you be taking advantage of one of the finance packages available on some of our holiday homes?
Once you have decided which property is best suited to you, yearly running costs should be considered, such as gas and electric. You must also remember that setting up a holiday home is much like setting up a new home – you will need to bring the essentials for your home. Bedding and kitchen essentials such as cutlery and pans will need to be brought along. Larger items such as televisions and microwaves should also be considered in your budget, although they may not be essential straight away.
We have a number of parks, each with their own draws. For example, if you were looking to buy a static caravan on the coast, Saddlebrook Chase would be the perfect location for you. Alternatively, a chalet in Lincolnshire would lead you to our Maplethorpe Park. We recommend that you take some time to explore the park, as well as the surrounding area. With such a significant purchase, you will want to make sure you have done your research before investing. You can find our full range of parks here.
It is also worth thinking about how you will be using your holiday home. You can sublet your property, which is a great way to earn some extra income. This can either be done privately, or with the aid of us, where we will make things are hassle-free as possible!
Our properties come in a range of sizes, so how you are going to use your property will most certainly affect your choice. If you are holidaying as a couple, you may not need as much room as if you were with a family of six.
As we said, we have a range of parks across the UK, and are always looking to expand. The advantage of this is that you can travel far enough away for a holiday, but you are still close enough to home. Looking at ease of travel from your home to the park is worth doing. Some buyers may be retired, meaning time is no issue, but for those looking to just visit for a weekend, a park closer to home may be more practical.
Now you have selected your holiday home, in the park that is perfect for you, you can sit back and relax with your family. Enjoy the experience of your home away from home, and stay for as little or as long as you like!
We have taken a look at just a few points you may wish to consider, but if you have any more questions regarding any of our parks or properties, please do not hesitate to contact us!
