A golf course in Lincolnshire has been named as one of the top 10 courses in England, on a list which ranks the top 100 courses across the country.
Woodhall Spa Hotchkin course has been ranked as the eight best in England, in the list accumulated by top100golfcourses.co.uk.
The Hotchkin course is over 100 years old, and has been a challenging course for golfers since it first opened, famed for the sheer number of dramatic bunkers (there are over 100 spread over the 18 holes!).
It is a heathland golf course, which acts as a sort of middle ground between link courses and parkland courses. You will expect to see the beautiful purple heathers as you play the course, but also expect some unpredictable bounces of the ball, even if struck perfectly.
What really sets the course apart is the fact it is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) course, meaning it is a protected area. This is due to the abundance of plants and wildlife found in and around the course.
If you are interested in playing the course, it is only a short drive from our Mablethorpe Park, where we have a number of stylish caravans and chalets for sale, offering the perfect place to have a “home away from home”. Why not take a look at a holiday home in Lincolnshire today?
