A new three-mile coastal path near our holiday park in Norfolk, has been opened for the first time.
The newest section of the coast path will be perfect for walkers and holiday makers who want to soak up the beautiful Norfolk coast.
The latest path is located between Horsey and Sea Palling. Walkers will be able to enjoy a scenic and quieter part of this shoreline, where they can enjoy watching wildlife and taking in the picturesque views.
Andrew Sells, Natural England’s Chairman said: “The England Coast Path is a fabulous legacy for our great island nation.
“The latest section opening here today is a wonderful showcase for Norfolk’s varied coastline, from historic towns and villages to stunning wildlife and beautiful beaches.
“Opening up the route will also bring huge benefit to the regional economy. Our evidence shows walking is the most popular activity at the coast and we spend more time and money when we visit.”
This will be the second England Coast Path to open in the Norfolk area, as in December 2014 they opened another path between Weybourne and Sea Palling.
Together, both paths cover 83 miles around the Norfolk coast which stretches as far as Hunstanton, which is now the longest section of coast path in the East of England. The coast paths are perfect for a day out, whether you are heading out for a Sunday walk with the family, or fancy more of a challenging outing.
Will you be ambitious enough to complete the whole stretch of coastline?
