Latitude guarantees a great time, as a winner of the ‘Best Family Festival’ and ‘Best Family Day Out’, you and your family will be in awe of all the incredible activities, artwork and workshops that will take place over the action-packed weekend. The children’s area is full of inspiring artwork and adventures waiting to be had. Whether your kids are just toddlers or 16 going on 20, there is something suitable for each and every one! From the quieter activities such as drawing, reading and craft sessions, to education activities such as weird science, which is held by the Suffolk Wildlife Trust, offering the opportunity to learn about the wildlife and the ways of the world. The strictly kid’s area (parents can come too) allows your children to wander and be encaptivated by the beautiful enchanted garden, which provides a place to relax and enjoy the surroundings or burn of some steam and run wild. There is story telling for the times when you all need a little rest and an assault course for when you need to tire them out! Latitude offers variety, not just for children but adults too, with comedy, theatre, spoken poetry, film screenings and over 12 stages with around the clock music from a variety of genres, the hardest decision will be where to head first!
Southburgh Festival of World Music, Norfolk
Experience live music from all around the world in the beautiful county of Norfolk and get involved with a range of interesting workshops. From drumming to circus and dance, there will be something new for all to have a go at. The arts and crafts workshops are a great way to spend a couple of hours while you are there, to create something special to take home with you as memorabilia from your holiday. There will be stalls selling locally crafted and unique gifts for yourself or your loved ones and if you get a little peckish, try some of the food from one of the corners of the globe; there will be a range of flavours from full Jamaican spices to classic Italian pizzas!
Reepham Summer Music Festival, Norfolk
This non-profit event provides the opportunity to not only have a good time but donate to a good course too! There is a jam-packed program of music to enjoy, with a community and family focus, the atmosphere will be friendly and inviting you to have a fantastic time! So, put your dancing shoes on and head on down.
18th, 19th & 20th August
Bring your picnic blankets or camping chairs and prepare for an evening of fantastic music and an even better atmosphere. This festival is super family friendly, with bouncy castles, craft and singing workshops, it’s not just fun for the adults, but for kids too! Enjoy a couple of drinks from the fully licenced bar and fill your bellies with the food from one of the many stalls, whether you fancy slowly smoked meats or sweet and savoury pancakes, you’ll want to return the next day to try something else! Tickets are available at the gate, for either the day or night.
Folk East, Glemham Hall Ground, Suffolk
18th, 19th & 20th August
The Folk East Festival has much more than folk music! Dotted around the festival, there will be a stunning range of art, from large installations to the more intricate and small pieces. There is the chance to admire the wonderful heritage from East Anglia, including vintage automotives, from farm machinery to steam engines. This family friendly festival will be packing an incredible 60 different musicians and bands into the one weekend, giving you hours of entertainment. For the little ones, there will be cooking with kids, den building, clay workshops, storytelling, donkey rides, bubble fun and much more.
Deepdale Festival, Norfolk
22nd-24th September 2017
The Deepdale Festival celebrates and showcases the local talent. Expect to see bands from Norfolk and the surrounding counties, bringing you a variety of genres. The music will run all weekend, across two stages and other more intimate spots across the festival site. Not only will there be great music, and spoken word poetry, a great range of activities for you to get involved in will also be taking place.
