Now in its 20th year, the Hunstanton Kite Festival attracts thousands each year to the coastal delights of Norfolk to see a colourful array of kites, flown to perfection alongside a wide array of classic cars, providing a little something for everyone to create a wonderful family day out.
The event is organised by the Rotary Club of Hunstanton in order to raise money to support the local community and put on other spectacular events throughout the year and this year hopes to see a staggering 4,500 attendees in their best year yet.
“We have recruited 20 top kit flyers to perform in the central arena, 250 classic cars and motorcycles’ owners have booked their spaces to display their beloved vehicles, and the indoor craft fair is fully booked with 75 stalls that will fill the hall at Smithdon School to capacity,” commented organiser Nigel Corley.
“It’s the perfect way to enjoy a summer’s day out and we hope everyone will come along for a top day out,” added Mark Shea, the commercial director.
As well as the beautiful kites and cars, an array of other displays and stalls will be on offer throughout the day, including pony rides, a fun fair and a falconry display - it’s no surprise that this is one of the most popular events in Norfolk!
The event begins at 11am on Sunday August 21st and will be open until 6pm. Tickets can be purchased online at £5 for adults, £2 for children, and £12 for a family ticket!
Come and embrace the local community spirit and get out and about this August by attending this creative and colourful kite festival located near our Norfolk holiday parks, providing a great opportunity to sample some local produce and pick up a few treats as a memento of your summer holiday!
