KENWOOD AND COLLEYS
Located on the Withernsea Coast, Colleys and Kenwood is the perfect base to explore East Yorkshire and beyond. With it’s newly built promenade, historic Lighthouse with breathtaking views as far as the Humber Bridge and Blue Flag beaches stretching for miles, there’s plenty to take in from this newly acquired park. It’s historic pier is marked by the original Pier Towers dating back to 1877, with the original 1,196ft Pier itself long destroyed.
The open countryside of East Riding of Yorkshire is a fantastic place to explore by foot, with historic towns such as Hedon and Hornsea nearby, as well as the Valley Gardens, the RNLI lifeboat museum in Withernsea itself and plenty more historic sites to visit in the local area. Head south to see the Spurn National Nature Reserve by foot, bike or Spurn Safari to see extraordinary views and an array of wildlife. If you want the city life, go west to Kingston upon Hull, named 2017’s City of Culture.
